Why I made this
Hi, I'm Marco — grandad to a very determined little boy who was about to start Year 4 with no summer workbook in sight. I looked for something simple to practise with over the holidays, couldn't find anything that felt right, so I sat down and made one myself. That first workbook worked out so well I kept going.
Tested by an 8-year-old
Every exercise here has been tried out by my grandson before it went anywhere near the internet. If he got bored, or a question didn't make sense to him, it got rewritten or cut. He's eight, so when he says something's fun, I trust his judgement more than mine.
Built on the real UK curriculum
Nothing here is made up. Spelling, maths, grammar, reading — it all follows what children are actually taught in that year group, so it lines up with what's happening at school, not some generic "kids' learning" content.
Your child's privacy, plain and simple
This is free, and it always will be. There's no account to create, no adverts, and no cookies. Nothing your child types is sent anywhere — it stays saved on their own device. The only way anything reaches me is if you choose to email me yourself.
